This Position Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Overview: This position requires the capability of achieving very high standards of quality, productivity and safety.

Requirements: High School Diploma, have basic math skills, possess the ability to learn to use and interpret measuring devices such as but not limited to calipers, steel rule and tape measure. The employee will learn to operate a forklift, and QC testing apparatus. This employee must be able to work alone as well as in a team environment. Must be able to lift weight in excess of fifty pounds.

Responsibilities but not limited to the following: This associate has many duties. Including but not limited to the following. Always be thinking of continued improvement. Work to create ideas no matter how big or small (preferably small) to make work safer, smarter, easier and more efficient. The unloading of finished products from kiln cars. They will ensure that the unloaded products are packaged correctly, safely and look professional. Quality control testing of products generated on their shift. This will include Crush, Drop, Sizing and Water Absorption. They will record these results and quarantine any product found to be out of specification. This employee will move kiln cars around the tracks to where they are needed. They will work on the line cleaning, repairing and maintaining kiln cars. They will maintain a safe, clean work area. Will perform other duties as required or instructed by the shift supervisor.
